This Can't Be Normal: VQ35DE Power Steering Pulley
The bracket that helps secure my power steering pulley has a small space between it and the block that will not close. I tried tightening the bolt that holds it onto the block at the very location where the space is, and it's not doing anything. I can't tighten it any more or else I will strip it.
Is the space between the pulley bracket and the block normal on the DEs? The pic below is of Adam at Z-1 Performance's motor, and I have used two arrows to point to the location of the gap.
If anyone would do me a favor and look at that bracket on their car and report back, I'd really appreciate it.

It's not a big deal now. There is a gap between the bracket and the block. I don't know how it got there, but the bracket has no give whatsoever. I just put a small washer in between the bracket and block, and then attached the bolt.
