Wink How much power will a stock vq35de hold?

I just got a 2003 nissan 350z touring edition with a vortech super charger kit, nismo exhaust, twin disc and etc. How much power will the stock vq35de motor hold? I understand its not the det I have a 35r evo so I kno the difference between boosted motors and non boosted motors. I was just wondering what the stock internals can handle on it.

400whp+ is pushing the limit, and can reduce it's life. That said, if its well tuned and setup, you can probably run it safely at the power level for a fairly long time. Sub 400whp and well tuned...almost no chance of failure. Key words...WELL TUNED.

What about the vq35det motor? If I stayed with the vq35de how would you suggest I start building it with a thicker headgasket to lower compression?

if you are building an engine, then get the right CR via pistons, etc. Can't really go with thicker headgaskets on this engine as the front cover would then not fit properly, nor would the timing chain, etc etc.

the op is non-rev.

A revup should take a tad bit more power no? The revup has slightly beefier rods than the non-rev?

The guys at Uprev in Austin, TX told me that anything over 380whp would be pushing it. Up to that, stock internals should be very reliable.
