1 = NO
2 = IDK if the stock LSD's fit but IMO you're better off going with an aftermarket version anyway

Why do you say that?

I'm considering buying a base model, and I really don't want to not have an LSD, but I would gladly just get one later on and save the money up front as its harder to find what I want, base models are everywhere.

 

VLSD's are less efficient (although more civilized) than the other types and if they are driven too hard the fluid can break down leaving you with an open diff.

...If looking at Z's I'd give more thought to whether or not I wanted cruise control
