Install a Nismo limited slip diff one my 2006 350Z 6mt (base)
the reason I am asking is a guy on my local craigslist has one 4 sale that has never been used...
your thoughts?

Not sure if the sale you are looking at is a complete, entire rear-end with the Nismo LSD already in it, or just the Nismo LSD components to put in your current open diff. rear-end. If it is the latter, then I would suggest you look into a Quaife LSD, as it is a very solid unit and is goes easily into an open diff. rear-end which base models have.

what do you think would be the average install price for this...

Price seems okay, but would be skeptical about the "slightly used" statement and the unknown as to the first owner. I'm pretty sure the base axle stubs have to be swapped out too when putting in the Nismo LSD into the base diff. (I'm sure someone else will chime-in to correct me if I'm wrong). Not sure what extra parts you might need and what the labor would be. I bet a conservative guess would be at least several hundred dollars, probably more.
