Default rpm drops

when I start my 04 manual the rpm's drop when I let my foot off the clutch by a few hundred rpm's. It caused it to stall a while back, what do you think?

somewhat normal from what ive experienced with cars... i believe that it is due to the fact that when the clutch is engaged less of the engines power is being used because the clutch is in, and when you release the clutch it breaks the separation and allows more power to be put to the engine itself, increasing RPMS.

Im not an expert and I apologize for my lack of proper terminology or anything, but I was always told that this was why, or something along these lines. Someone please correct me if you have to lol. Also, you could increase your idle a little if your car continues to stall because of it.
