I have one sparkplug tube that was full of oil. What needs to be done to correct this. Is there an O ring that seperates the tunel from the valve cover. Please let me know what needs to be done.
Thanks

It's not the VC gaskets. It's a seal around the spark plug tube, which is part of the valve cover assembly.
Personally, I would just live with it. Removing and replacing the Valve Covers is a bit of a chore. And if it's just a little oil on the threads, I wouldnt worry for right now.

So what you are saying is I need a valve cover gasket kit, and it comes with these Orings?
Thanks

The only reason I ask is becuase it was pretty much full with oil. Just one tube. But with the tube full of oil, and oil completely covering the plug and coil, I don't see it being good for ignition.

No, you actually need to replace the valve cover to fix this. Unless I am mistaken, those round seals are part of the valve cover itself, and not removable or replaceable.
i had the same problem. i had to buy new valve covers. i bought both sides even though it was only on the pasenger side valve cover. i just thought it was smarter to do both sides at one time.
You can simply remove all the oil and clean it up.. Clean inside the cover with a q tip.. You may not need to replace the entire cover.. I replaced the entire cover and i probably didnt need to.. The oil was just sitting at the top portion of the valve cover and I could have just cleaned it out..
Also pull the coil and clean inside that too..

I did clean out everything very well. I just want to make sure that it will not effect the coil. If everything will continue to function I will just leave it till something more major happens.
Thanks for the help.
Thanks for the help.
you can get brand new ones for a bit over 150 brand new per side. it's a safer bet than getting used ones since they can start at early mileage.
