My 3rd Gear Grinds no matter how fully engaged the clutch is. Anybody have a similar problem? The car only has 60K miles on it. Advice? Thanks Guys!!

as your car moves up in milage you may want to consider what kind of gear oil you are running in your transmission...oil weight and viscosity play a heavy role in the life and wear of your tranny and engine...you may want to go on google and find a viscosity chart to figure out what weight you should be running in your living environment
a good example of mis-information with viscosity is living here in vegas...due to the heat...NO CAR in the summer time should be running anything below 10w-40 in their engines...but stealerships (i mean dealerships) only stock 5w-30 and 10w-30...and this is bad...basically due to the amount of heat outside and the amount of heat brought in by ambient air temps to the motor...the oil viscosity is past its effective heat limit...now while this wont kill your motor or anything...youre basically creating excess wear and tear on the internal moving peices...same goes for transmissions...if you live in a place with excessive heat...youll want to bump up to a thicker viscosity gear oil...it helps the gears shift smoother and helps with the life of the gear synchros
a GOOD replacement for your gear oil is redline full synthetic or royal purple full synthetic...while this may not cure your gear grindage...it will help smooth out the entire transmission and helps the car feel A LOT smoother while driving (try some in your diff as well...that thing heats up like whoa back there)...nissan tranny gear synchros have been commonly known to be on the crappier side and wear out really easily if not kept with GOOD gear oil...to fix a gear synchro requires tearing apart the whole tranny...theyre easy to replace but are just VERY time consuming to do
another thing...is 3rd gear grinding when the tranny is warm or cold???

its more than likely a gear synchro...nissan RWD manual trannies are notorious for having gear synchros go out
hell my SR tranny only has 70k+ miles on it with my 6 puck ACT clutch and flywheel and it grinds going into 4th...2nd has a hard time when the car is at a cold start...FM trannies arent much different
