Default Is It My Differential, Transmission or Something Else

I've got a MT base 2007 Z. When ever I go up my driveway at a slight angle, or turning into any incline for that matter, I feel a loss of power, traction or some sort of slippage. Bear in mind a few points; my driveway is at a standard incline, I notice the loss or power/traction when I make a complete stop at the bottom of inclines and then try to go up. A little help!

You have an open differential in the Base model. Enth + models have a viscous LSD. Best bet is to get an aftermarket LSD (Cusco, OS Giken, Nismo, etc.). I have this same EXACT problem going up my driveway with the three wheel motion and loss of traction.

Drive train problems will reveal themselves in other driving situations (straight line acceleration for example) not just the incline example.

AKA that it SUCKS!

For the performance model - I would check the 350Z wiki for the details, I'm not familiar with that.

Yup that does FTL (thanks for the ed-ja-ma-ka-shon)! I'm looking into the Nismo LSD around $1100. Any suggestions on the % for those who have an aftermarket LSD. Nismo installed by Nissan simply to not void warranty! Until then, I guess I just got to bang up my driveway at WOT LOL....

I think 60% is good for street/light track mix.

Just spoke with my Nissan Guru. He's looking into doing a complete ax swap with an 07 Nismo. Researching filament. I'll keep you posted on results.
