My car wont start , and cant figure out why ! not a noob!
Hey so i am not a noob in any way but i was changing one of the bulbs in my dash cluster on my 2005 covertable, and when i threw it all back together along with the steering column i noticed when i tried to start it it wont tun over.
I checked my bat power and chageed it more but its good, checked my fuses and i made sure i had only taken out the pin clip harness attachments so ther was no wiring issues.
I took my battery off many times and then hooked it back up and no change, it crancks hard and normal just wont turn over.
Only dumb thing is i didnt disconnect the battery when i swapped the bulb which i figured was no big deal, im thinkin do i have to reset the ecu? When im cranking the engine check light turns off so i dont think there is any codes.
any ideas?

Hey Antronig I had a similar problem.
I installed a Motordyne spacer and forgot to plug in the throttle body sensor and I turned on the car. It would crank and crank but not fire on and the slip/tcs light were on constantly. My radiator fan would turn on and never shut off until i turned off the car. When I plugged in a scanner, it wouldn't respond and my SEC light never turned on.
Turns out that a fuse/relay/or some kind of component blew on the actual ecu which is separate from the two fuse boxes(one underneath the steering wheel and one right next to the car battery). Thats why the ecu never responded to the scanner and never threw a code.
Hopefully this didnt happen but its an idea.
Scan it, make sure there are no codes and try to reset the ecu. Good luck
