Default Coolant? Exhaust?

Hello to my new family. After owning 2 beautiful srt-4's i decided to go with something a little more stylish. I picked up an 06 enthusiast Z 2 weeks and 1 day ago. Im in love with the car! Anyway, my coolant is kind of low and i realized its not yellow, and i dont want to mix up colors. so my question is, where do i get the right coolant at?

Also while i make this thread i should probably ask, im looking into exhausts for it, and i really really like the way the injen exhaust looks, How much horsepower would this create without headers and how much with some good headers?

Thanks for looking

Any coolant suitable for an aluminium block is suitable the Z. Comes in various colors.

1) A little?
2) Not much, maybe 0-10 HP
3) Headers will cost you a ton to install in a Z and the factory ones are quite efficient which is why headers isn't a common mod on a Z. Doing both with quality pieces best case scenario would yield probably 15hp for about $2,000 installed. Worst case scenario you don't make any power or in some cases even lose HP.

Really? so any color fluid is fine? It kind of sucks that you guys tell me headers are worthless becuase i just bought some megan racing headers.. its ok though, there brand new and i picked them up for 130 . should i even waste the time installing?

Also what would be the best sounding exhaust? and the most efficient exhaust?

To put this in engine or intake/exhaust section. I guess I'll leave it here...

Headers typically dyno around 5whp but some have lost power. The general consensus is they are just so hard to install it's not worth the 5hp and really it's true. I have DC headers on my car, they did a bit but not much and I wouldn't wanna install them damn. Its like a full 8 hour job and plan on having every knuckle on your hand destroyed by the time it's done.

Exhaust systems are all based on sound and look. So pick one that you like the sound of and meets the style that you like. If you like the injen then get the injen. Some good power has been made from exhaust systems (mostly because of the Y pipe or a True Dual) and sometimes very little.

You can mix colors of coolant, it's not a big deal. Just remember that Green has the lowest rating for time and temp so make sure you change it etc based on the lowest grade coolant you put in the system. It will not turn into gel or any other bologna that floats around on the internet. Porsche guys used to argue about this all the time blah blah.. I had mixed coolant in my Porsche for years and it was fine. In reality if I needed some coolant I would just go to nissan and get the right stuff for the car and the same color just so it's easy.

If you are looking for a power upgrade get a 5/16" plenum spacer for the intake manifold. Motordyne or Altered Atmosphere are the most popular. Thats a 10-15whp increase dyno guaranteed. You will feel that mod for sure.
