Chefj

Thanks for the information. I ordered the ACT prolite/heavy duty clutch from Adam at z1 performance as well.....very helpful during the whole process.

Have you fully 'broken in' your clutch? How do you like so far?

I am having mine installed on Monday.....I don't think the noise will bother me I just hope to get some improved performance.

UPDATE

.... Going back to the random power loss.
I have cleaned the MAF and replaced my sparkplugs with NGK Iradium IX(STOCK) now at 31k miles. The battery was completely disconnected for 10-12 over night and the car is FINE. NO MORE loss of power. I STRONGLY recommend to change sparkplugs every 30 k or even less depending on your driving style and gas you put in (you should be using premium). Changing sparkplugs is not that hard, just time consuming. Thanks.

Man... Such a fast car when she's not limp. Peppy mode kicked in today just long enough to remind me of why I don't need Viagra LOL. I thought about leaving it running in my garage for the night in hopes that she'd still have some kick in the morning. I believe im gonna run it up to Injected Performance in Lexington on weds on my off day. I'm pretty much convinced it's nothing regarding the electronics of the car and hope to narrow the search in a couple of days. Sorry for the rant, but she runs like a top when she wants!

could it be the crank angle sensor? I remember reading some threads where the op complained of power loss and the crank sensor was the culprit. I think they were throwing codes though.

they are definitely a busy place, if things go as planned i've got the green light to take her there. My gf was involved in a very bad accident with a semi yesterday leaving her hospitalized and priorities take precedence over my car sputtering..

Thanks man, she's is doing well and they released her yesterday but she completely black from head to toe with bruises, can't use or even move her right arm and left leg and had a concussion and cuts and gashes everywhere. They said it was a miracle she lived! It was a cement truck parked illegally in a lane with no cones and the person in front of my gf swerved to miss leaving her no time to react. 65 mph into the back of a stopped 45000lb truck. Her suburban is non-existant. Looks like Injected Performance will have to wait until next week.

Ok a much overdue reason behind my power loss. After much testing, diagnostics and several headaches, we found that the gas I was using was the culprit. The gases at thorntons and bp were where I was filling up in my area caused the car to bog. Perhaps the gas wasn't burning correctly or the additives gave me problems??? Not sure the reason. Now I fill up with gas from chevron and my car is back to normal! (yes I used premium with all fills)
