Confused????
I'm in the middle of a issue on which parts are good or not for my Z.... the thing is that i would like to make a few modifications in my car in order to gain performance and horsepower but after reading the reviews, I notice that a lot of people are buying aftermarket parts without even knowing if they are doing a good investement (money / performance ). I know that someone have to make the first step in order to help others.
Maybe I should wait to the next year to see if the R&D is done in many aftermarket parts and good reviews on those parts are submited in the forum....What you think guys????

Check out the post I did on driving the mossy Z. Verified dyno on each mod, currently getting 282rwhp. That is fact not sales talk...or if you want big hp, ATI SC is dynoing over 360rwhp consistantly. Just make sure you get a good tuner and dont run it lean.

If you want to see a review on a certain product just search for it.

The search function works really well for me. Just type in keywords like "Injen intake" for example.
Hope that helps,
Victor
If I were going to mod my car, here is what I feel works well:
Crawford Plenum - Without a doubt, this is the best bang for the buck mod out there now
Borla Exhaust (maybe that Hitech Aussie one or the Injen) - These all seem to make decent gains, so I would pick based on preference and cost.
These are pretty simple mods that still give good gains. If I were going a bit more radical, I would get:
CAMS - these can make a significant difference at the top end where the stock motor fizzles out
Lightweight flywheel - This mod is mainly for "feel" but having a more responsive engine can made rev-matching quicker and can give the impression of added HP. Also, the lower rotating inertia means some HP is free'd to go to the wheels.
I think I'd wait a bit for headers, to see what else becomes available in the next few months, but eventually those would probably help as well.
Personally I would avoid an aftermarket CAI, since the stock intake is already CAI and aftermarket ones haven't shown consistent gains (at least consistent enough for me to justify buying one).
Good luck, and have fun!
