Default Which Spark Plugs?

I am looking for some spark plugs 1 or 2 heat range cooler. The manual states PLFR6A-11 that is 1 heat range cooler. I know someone on the board is selling Denso Iridiums 2 heat range cooler for like $17 a pc. I found some LFR6A-11 at a local store for $3.77 a piece do you think these will work? Any other suggestions?

The only difference between the PLFR and the LFR is that the PLFR's are platinum and the LFR's are copper so they will give you a better spark. I'm using the LFR's on my supercharged Z.

Which store are you finding the LFR6A-11 for $3.77 each? I have been looking for copper plugs for my Z but didn't know they existed yet.

Thanks

I assume you run cooler so it reduces the chance for pinging/detonation? I'd be interested in hearing more about people who've tried that on a NA Z.

you DO NOT want colder plugs on an NA car unless you are running much higher than stock compression......

Basically you want colder plugs if you are turboed, supercharged, or running nitrous. It helps to prevent detonation.

LFR6A-11 plugs can be found at most Yamaha boat dealer shops. It's used in the 150HP 4 stroke outboard motor.
