Question US Spec NISMO 350Z... What's it got?

Now we've got a list of above average priced performance parts (both s-tune and r-tune) from nissan with some believable claims on performance gains:

Nismo intake, cams, flywheel, headers, exhaust. Parts + Install is ~$5000.

But has NISMO USA released any official stats on how all these items working together will perform? I'm curious what a all-nismo spec 350Z will dyno (or gain in hp/tq over stock). For certain they must have tested all of them together... why haven't we seen a official showcar yet with listed specs?

Talking No official dynos yet

I've been trying to get dyno numbers out of them. Carl Merrirt and I from SportZ Magazine were actually at NISMO's track day where they had a stock car, r-tune and s-tune.

Unfortunately I couldn't get any of the NISMO reps to get me dyno numbers. I'm pretty sure they have them but they seem to be cautious since what happened to mazda and the rx-8. So Probably before the end of the year they will give the cars out to magazine and magazine will have the abilitiy to dyno them.

We were able to get lap times to judge off of. Maybe they will release something by SEMA? November.. Most likely you'll see auto magazines with dyno numbers before that though..

well, i have the NISMO cams, intake, headers, exhaust, and flywheel, mixture of r- and s-tune parts. i wonder what the specs are for the NISMO r-tune Z.

i'll try to dyno when i get the chance, but doesnt look like anytime soon. jeff@performance will probably have all those parts installed and dynoed before i'll get a chance to dyno

It turns out that Mazda had overrated the power output of the engine. People had been dynoing the car and the numbers were coming out much lower than expected. Mazda actually ended up *officially* downrating the engine from 250 hp down to 238 hp. (Note: nothing actually changed about the engine. Mazda just officially changed the advertised output.) People were very angry, and Mazda even offered a buy-back program for people who wanted it. I believe the alternate option was $500 cash and free oil-changes for the remainder of the warranty.

You can read more about it on the RX8 forums. Try:

http://www.rx8forum.com

It's funny that they offered free basic service for the remainder of the warranty. With my Audi, that's standard. Guess I'll have to get used to paying for my oil changes and new light bulbs and wiper blades when I get a Z.

Did you just pick a random thread to ask this question?

What does this have to do with the thread title?

He asked that question because of this reply:

"Unfortunately I couldn't get any of the NISMO reps to get me dyno numbers. I'm pretty sure they have them but they seem to be cautious since what happened to mazda and the rx-8.
