Default New Built engine. coolant bleed??

so i just installed my new built engine. i poured coolant on the radiator, topped it off. started the car, car idles just fine... i let it idle for 10 mins the first time.. and today i let it idle again, but coolant came out of the overflow reservoir and temp was a little high... i didnt notice if the fans kicked in either...

my friend told me i had to bleed the coolant system? how do you do that? also im using water cooled turbos so i removed the bleed valve that goes on the heater core hose that comes out of the firewall.. same as the aps extreme turbo kit.

*** how do you bleed the coolant system??? please detail instructions... remember my bleed valve is not there anymore.. im using that to feed coolant to my turbos like the APS extreme twin turbo kit. ***

You need to have a bleeder valve some where up high in the coolant system to bleed the air out othewise you are gonna have a hell of a time getting the air pockets out.

This worked for me, Jack up the front of the car so the higest point is the fill port, start it up, this should let the air pockets find there way the top of the system.
Hope this works, make sure you check it after a short drive(after it cools) to make sure your level is within spec. Good luck!

that is exactly what i did for my evo8,, run your system then just top off the radiator cap. Bubble will most likely be there, there should be gap when you open it!
