Default Stub Axels

Out of curiosity, what is the physical difference between the VLSD and open diff stub axels? If i put the the two side by side how could i tell the difference?

Thanks in advance

Are you talking about the part that comes out of the pumpkin and goes to the wheel? If you are then they are identical.

Depends on the year of the car, and trim level. There are actually 3 different types of output shafts. Spline count, and length are what differentiate them all

I'm talking about the part that has to be replaced when you switch from an open diff to a lsd.
