Default P0011 & P0021 Intake Valve Timing Control code

P0011 Intake Valve Timing Control
P0021 Intake Valve Timing Control
After the clutch was recently changed I noticed the CES light was on so I had it scanned. The dealer wants $500 to change the sensors. What is actually implied by these codes?

It,s possible that the sensors were unplugged when the gearbox harness was unplugged when the gearbox was removed for clutch replacement.
If the motor was started before all the harness was replugged it will log a fault.
Get the codes cleared & see if you get another CES

Default Old news now

It wasn't the sensors. They replaced them anyway plus the timing chain and gears and billed me $4500. It may have been just the chain but if the gears were not replaced and they were at fault the labour bill would have gone higher. The problem today is that there are no decent mechanics anymore, jusr parts replacers following a long flowchart of what to replace next until the light stays out. No more Nissan cars for me.
