if vhs was better... yes

you ovbisouly dont know **** about these cars if you think that the way the throttle is controlled is fine... it closes when braking which is not good for brake boosting... it opens slow as hell and doesnt open all the way unless you have a reflash and the brake module from kpierson

I heard that you can use something from a pathfinder or something like that... but that was a long time ago and never heard anything more about it. Hope that helps some...

several people have

what it takes?

new throttle body, custom cable brackets routed to gas pedal, reflashed ecu to bypass the codes you will get. A new ecu (Haltech, etc) would also be in order

i was looking into a 300zx tb and 240tb i saw some custom setups on other nissans but nothing on a z/g... i know youd need to get rid of codes but what purpose would a standalone serve with just doing a tb swap?

are you kidding? i rebuillt my entire car by myself guy. tbw in my opinion is much better than a throttle cable. get the supporting mods to bypass this, and youll be fine.

btw if your turbo'd wouldnt you want a standalone? so hurry up and sell your utec, get the haltech, and follow what z1 said.

did you actually assemble the motor and measure clearances? dropping a motor in a car in my opinion is not building it.. completely not trying to be a dick

haha in that case no lol i didnt "build" it lol, but everything else was done by myself. im just trying to see the logic in this? audibly mayhem i believe ran a th400 in his, and sp is doing it to vlad's g35. id contact sp and see how theyre handling it, then again, theyre on pro-efi ems

im ditching the vq motor all together and going lq4(iron lsx) i can get a complete running long block for under $500 and stock they can take 700whp like nothing. the only thing that sucks is either making my own custom braces or ordering hinsons which ive heard lots of bad things about so idk yet on which route im going for that

When the throttle plate closes, it INCREASES manifold vacuum. Deeper vacuum increases the assist from teh brake booster.

so i guess youre not boosted... because if so you would know that it will lower your tp which will lower fuel also...

So what does boost have to do with vacuum to the brake booster? When you lift and the TP closes, you ain't boosting.

BTW, when you lift and the TP closes, the ECU shuts the injectors off, so yeah it lowers fuel, but when the throttle is closed, you obviously don't need fuel.
