Default The Infamous 350z Tranny!

I own a 2005 35th Anniversary Z. This is my 2nd auto tranny replaced under warranty. The car has 57,000 miles on it and the tranny was replaced around 52,600 miles.

I was driving today and noticed my transmission sucks even more than I thought. When I drive around 45 mph, everything feels fine, but when I speed up to around 55 mph and cruise the tranny just drops out of gear when I let off the gas and the rpm goes into idle. Now if I wanna lock back into gear I have to speed up and play with the rpms until it locks. CAN ANYONE TELL ME WAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH MY TRANSMISSION?

I had a buddy tell me it could be the torque converter??? Any suggestions?

Very few reported problems with the 5AT, but now you've had 2 fail? Perhaps it was never fixed? They replaced the transmission, so maybe it is the torque converter slipping... Was the old TC used?

Thanks for the input guys. I really don't know if Nissan replaced my torque converter, I'm hoping they didn't so it would be a quick fix. Oh and Rubicant, I remember your body shop thread a while back, I was another victim as well so don't feel bad
