Default What can I do with this engine?

I have a brand new 0 miles engine that I pulled out of a FX35. For some of you that know this is the engine out of the Infiniti that I crushed. The engine was completely intact and undamaged. The engine is an exact interchange to the 350z and g35 coupe. I figure I can experiment with this engine and then put my old engine back in it when I blow that engine or something like that. I have a few ideas but Ill take suggestions. What would you do with this engine if you had it?

Thumbs up

put it in your Z, boost the hell out of it & see how much it can handle

You'll always have your old engine as a reserve

Can you please post all the specs on the engine?

I'd like to see something more than just cranking up the boost and see where it blows

i would put some high compression pistons in there with some forged pauter rods, some bronze valve guides, and titainium retainers and titanium springs.

you can also try to stroke it using the new frontier's crankshaft and rods

also, can try to bore it out.

I thought you said you weren't allowed to keep any of the stuff you crush. You said something to the effect they keep really close tabs on that kind of thing?

What a coincidence! The Infinti engine compartment wasn't crushed down nearly as deep at the other cars being shown!

Bonz your killing me here. Actually its the resale that they dont want. Profiting, except for the weight and core value. Im just going to use it before I detour it to the steal mill.

Sell it to Smithtown Nissan, or "donate it" wink wink. They just blew their engine on their 11.3 second car

Without hurting anybodys feelings this is about ME. What I should do with this engine in my car. You guys crack me up.

How about maybe some guys in Dallas that want to use this motor to experiment and Ill put it in my car. Something like that would work wouldnt it?

Maybe a company trying to figure out a twin turbo setup like Jotech and learn with my engine and car. Thats what I mean. I could have sold the engine a while back when I put the crushing thread in, but I rather use for funner things.

Dude the fx35, they said it got 345 at the crank... There has to be some difference in performance/design...

If you need help with the boosting there are some good tuners in your area that have a proto-type Turbo Kit.

Did you take the suspension off the FX too... you could have had a four wheel drive Z.

Lastly, I dont mind working for you for a day and stealing some crushed car parts... Then you can fire me, without pay!!! Now theres no contract issues.
