Default Compression Test

I took my car in today to see how my compression was.

at WOT

1. 223
2. 225
3. 224
4. 222
5. 224
6. 225

Is this good?

They told me 142-185 at 300 rpm was good. but then why did they do it at WOT???

Well first off there is no WOT for a compression test as all the plugs are removed and the engine is just spun by the starter.Whoever did the test are morons saying it was at WOT.

LOL, have you ever done a compression test before? WOT is used to open the throttle body so that air can be sucked into the motor, thus it having compression. Anyway, your numbers look fine, and compression tests are always done at WOT.

According to Nissan, stock VQ30DE 185psi is the norm; 142 is the minimum with a maximum variance of 14 psi per cylinder. Don't worry about the WOT thing. Compression tests are usually done with the throttle wide open.

Don't know why your numbers are so high though, how many times did they crank it per cylinder? Did they do a wet compression test?

What year is your Z? Do you have the HR motor?
