Default Clutch worn down at 32k?

I used to be able to get out of 2nd gear from a complete stop w/out giving it too much gas but now it seems that if I don't give it enough, the car will stall. Time for a new clutch?

lol. just because you can't move from a 2nd gear start doesnt mean the clutch is gone. It is possible though.

try shifting to 6th gear, but still stay a a low speed ~25mph, then step on the gas. If the revs just slowly increase with the speed you are fine, if the revs fly up, but the speed doesnt, the clutch is slipping.

Depending on the driver, a clutch may last anywhere from 1k miles to 200k miles. If your car is stalling only when you try to start out in 2nd gear, stop starting out in second gear . If you have a bad clutch it'll slip in every gear, not just the 2nd or 6th.

Mine went at 23K. Owner before me accidentally bought a manual and he claimed he "taught himself". Go figure the guy probably held the clutch on hills to stop the rolling. The car was in great condition but I couldn't check the clutch. Ended up with a nice little $2300 bill...That doesn't sound like a bad clutch. Again try a higher gear and low speed and mash on the gas, see what happens.

Default 2006 Grand Touring 350Z clutch slipping at 21k miles

Okay, so it looks like I am not alone on this misadventure. Can't believe that this is possible given the Nissan quality rep. Have any of you guy bought your replacement parts online, and if so, where did you get them. The dealer is telling me that, in addition to installing a new clutch, the flywheel may also need replacing, so needless to say, I'm looking for a good mechanic and a place to buy the parts at a reasonable cost. Thanks for any help...

I think they were pulling my leg tbh with you but I did feel a slight slip. Maybe others have felt the same way. I am in no way harsh on my car so it doesn't figure. I only tried to start in 2nd only a couple of times. It's not like I do it everyday. Let me know what happened. I just ended up paying I believe $700 to get it done with them.

For everyone replacing a clutch @ 21k as a daily driver... my stock clutch on my first z (03) at 60k had 0 issues... I think you need to check your driver mod if you're not beating on your car :\
