Default Which motor do I have?

Sorry to be asking this but I've done some research and also called the local nissan dealership(did not know.. pretty ridiculous) and I still cant find my answer..

I've got a 2006 MT 350z.. motor VQ35DE.

Maybe I've read too much into some of the different motor information but I was under the impression that there is the VQ35DE NON REV-UP, VQ35DE REV-UP, and the VQ35HR(new to 2007).

I would just like to figure out what engine is in my 350z so I can figure out if I need to order just a plenum spacer or both the plenum spacer and MREV2.

someone help

To be clear - the above is for MT only.... Auto 05/06 had the orig DE, not RevUp

Since you have a DE engine, the MREV2 is not required. The 5/16 spacer is enough~

I hope you're joking.

If you have the rev up engine, which you do, the Mrev2 will need to be used in combination with the spacer. So yea, buy both.

read the top 100 questions thread and it said if you have the rev-up youll need to get both if you want to see gains.

If you are a rev-up owner (7000RPM redline), you will basically only benefit from getting BOTH a 5/16" spacer and the MREV2. If you get the MREV2 only, your mid-range torque will increase but your maximum HP will drop off severely. If you only get the 5/16" spacer, you will not see a benefit. Several dynos have proven that for the rev-up motor, you basically need both the spacer and the MREV2, which will make a lot of midrange torque, without sacrificing too much peak HP.
