Hi guys, Im a new Z owner, bought an 03 used touring model locally with 68k miles. Everything was fine for about 5 days, tranny was smooth as butter, now obviously its getting the 3rd hear syncro grind at high RPMS. Once my old car is sold, its no problem to pickup a used tranny. The question is what tranny fits? Probably a stupid question, but do all the 03-08 trannys fit the 03 model? If so, which year would be my best bet on getting a used one without issues?
I did a lot of searching and it seems that most of the major grinding issues were solved by 2006? Its only at high RPMS, so im gonna just drive the car and try not to worry about it too much...my old rx7 had bad 3rd gear syncro and I drove it for 2 years and the tranny never blew....so how long do I have roughly? Thanks for any help!
