Engine cuts out during hard acceleration.

2005 350Z, 6MT
Nismo CAI
Motordyne 5/16 Plenum Spacer
Ohio Generator HO Alternator
HKS True Dual Exhaust
JWT Clutch/Flywheel
New NGK spark plugs - 1 step colder then stock
Nitrous (Never Been Used)
I experienced a sudden loss of power while driving the car today. Upon moderately hard acceleration in gears 3,4 and 5 the engine would cut out like a Honda rev-limiter (RAH-RAH-RAH-RAH).
I had been thinking that I've noticed a "pop" or misfire upon long, WOT acceleration at the drag strip but it's never fully cut out like this. It seems to happen easier after driving for a little while.
Also, I can slowly rev the engine all the way up to 6,500 RPMs without any hesitation whatsoever, with or without the clutch engaged.
Also, I have a fuel pressure gauge under the hood to help monitor fuel associated with my nitrous setup. I checked for leaks at all the connections in my fuel line - there is no fuel leaks. The fuel pressure reads about 53psi with the motor on at idle.
Any suggestions?
No service engine light, no funny smells, clutch is strong.

I'm confident I found the problem today.
The computer did give me codes after an SES light showed up today. 3 errors regarding to the IAT sensor. I looked at the wiring for the MAF and one of the wires was completely severed and another wire was cut into. Both happened on the bracket for the strut tower brace under the hood.
What vehicles use the same MAF sensor that I could get a connector off of to splice back on?

mine does that too sometimes but i always thought it was just my VDC being on and cutting engine power to reduce wheel slippage, maybe i should look into this more

I have the same issue intermittently with my z but it only happens when I down shift or go from light throttle to wot fast. Its not throwing any codes and fuel psi is good. Ive been monitoring it with my utec and its not showing any knock.
