i have a bran new 08 350z with 3000 miles on it. today i was teaching my little sister how to drive stick and i ran into a lil problem. as she was trying to get out of first gear the car wouldnt rev past 2500 rpm's. i told her to pull over and then i tryed to rev the engine and still nothing would not go higher then 2500. i shut the car off for about 5 mintues and then turned it back on, which fixed the problem. i then drove the car home. does anyone know why this could have possible happend? the car is bran new and i really dont want any problems with it. please let me know if you have any info. thanks

There's the problem. That put the engine into limp mode. Repeated stalls makes the ECU think there some problem - it doesn't know that it's caused by "pilot error". To prevent damage, it places itself in limp mode to keep you from revving too much. Other people have reported similar issues (CEL/SES light) after repeated stalls.
