OK well i think am gonna have to hold off on the gears for now, it seems i will be going a different route by next year and i might just slap the 3.5FD right now. I wanted to do gears but i can save that money and actually use it for FI. I t may seem i will be saving for a supercharger system in the works.

I had 3.9 gears on my 5AT and they were way too aggressive for the street, and no I did not peel out in the first 3 gears.. No NA 5AT can do that unless you've got ITB's or a stroked motor.

I am not sure what more power has to do with the FD not being streetable. If anything more TQ will make it feel even more aggressive. Unless if you mean that the shifting is too frequent because of a low rev limit, but that is not something the ITB and stroker really directly aids.

There u go. Shift kit..

I'm back to stock 3.3 gears in my auto.. The 3.9's were fun but just way to aggressive.. 1st gear pretty much didn't even exist, RPM's sat high and the car was slower top end.. after 100 i'd get pulled on by other z's/g's that had longer gearing.

I have 3.5 ring and pinion in my car that I can install in my diff right now.. I'd rather do 3.7 gears but the prices on those is rape. I'd rather save for F.I. then paying what I paid for my 3.9 gears.

Awww you took em out . Oh well it was nice when you had em. Then again I can understand 1st gear was pretty damn short even on the manual.

yeah I demodded and I'm thinking about redoing the gears.. the 3.9s were fun as hell at first but it got sort of annoying afterwards.. Its because of the 5AT.. I'm sure they would be a blast on an MT.

First was short but deadly hahaha see how many car lengts i put on you when we raced from the dig?

I will most likely have the 3.5 fd installed in the next week or so and i think from there ill start finishing my suspension with some sway bar and some underbrace stuff. I will then either finish paying my car off and buy a supercharger for it in the future.

Just another update, i was driving to work today and i gunned it on the expressway and the car pulls very well now. I highly recommed any guys with the 5at to do this swap, i cant even imagine how you guys with the manual feel with the 3.9FD !! This is just a great mod todo for us Auto guys. Feel free ta ask me any questions, oh and with the Transgo kit it is amazing. I might just do the gear change down the line for a 3.7FD. I also installed a great product by Topspeed which is similar to the GT spec lower subframe chasis. The car feels more rigid for sure and i feel more in control, another great mod i say and for teh price you can't beat it. The only downside to this mod is that it scrapes anything under, ugh! My condo were i live has a very difficult entrance and am always looking to find the best way to get in and with the chassis bar now scrapes it more than ever but oh well am not taking it off.
