Default Nismo lsd

I have a 2006 Bsae 350Z and want to upgrade to a LSD. There seem to be many options, and I would like some input. I was looking at the NISMO LSD so I do not void the 100,000 mile warranty. I was concerned when I read in the NISMO catalog about "Low speed chattering, clunking and tire chirping are normal attributes of this performance Limited Slip Differential"

I would appreciate input from anyone who has installed a NISMO version.

In addition I was looking at a computer upgrade. What company makes the best reflash for the 350Z.

Thanks

Welcome. Lots of limited slip differential critiques here to keep you busy for a week.

just to give you a heads up NIsmo LSD's are discontinued, very hard tofind from a vendor, best bet is used or someone who has one who has not put it in yet.

i have the nismo Lsd does all of the above, i like it though, livable, noticable, tolerable.

Thanks for that little "light read", just about made my eyes bleed! In a nut shell: seems like the NISMO and others have a lot of noise and chirping issues, the Quaife is good up to the point that one wheel has no traction (ie not good in the rain, snow, ice).

Looks like I am down to the Cusco. Just need to do a little more reading on the MZ Vs. the RS type. The only problem with this so far is that it will void the 100,000 mile warranty. Which seems to beg the question of how much does a, not so great, VLSD cost to put in (parts and labor) that will get me from the current 43,000 miles very close to 100,000 miles and potential trade in for a 370Z! Basically, I need a car that will get me from point A to point B on the street with better traction than I currently have.

If the Quaife or Cusco void warrenty , it will only be on your diff. Don't worry about it and just do it.

I have the Nismo LSD at 80% lock also. It does chirp and bang a bit at low speed when turning tight. It also feels like sometimes the cars *** shifts 2" left or right like the axle is sliding...DONT WORRY its all normal. You know its working when you break sideways at 70mph and lift off the throttle and the car jumps back straight as an arrow!
