Default Lsx 03 350z

I started my swap this weekend, not useing any kit just making custom parts to do it. I'm using a 5.3 and going with a TH350.

I'll keep this updated as I get more done but it will be slow going as I don't have much time to work on it.

Any reason why you went with the Tahoe motor?

Good luck bud, I'm looking on doing the same swap. I am thinking he is using the 5.3 engine as a starting point like myself. 5.3 are cheap and easy to fined. Its a great mock up motor to start of with. I am putting a 5.3 as well while my my 440ci is being built.

for the price of a 5.3 its hard to beat and you can always bore it out to make a 5.7 (LS1).

Did you order a kit or doing it all yourself?

I am going to order a kit but I heard to stay away from Hinson Motorsports from a guy who has already done the swap. Are you planning on building around the stock oil pan of say an F-body, GTO or others?

I have never heard anything good about Hinson but they do have a good lock on the market.
So far I have cut up the stock truck oil pan where it we clear but I still may look into other pans before I pay to have this welded up.

Don't all H2s come with 6.0L? I think the new ones from 07 and up come with 6.2s.

I went with the 6.0L LS2 and 6 speed T56 in mine.
Sorry no pics yet because it's still in the shop. (Super Secret. Hush hush R&D)

All I will say is this...
L92 Heads + L76 Intake Manifold
Texas Speed Magic Stick 3 237/242 .603/.609 114deg cam
Fidanza twin Kevlar clutch and flywheel
Long tube headers

I should have some more pics up soon. I got my trans in and some other parts. Got the motor mounts just about done, I have to get the trans in the car to make sure its all lined up and fitting good. Hope to have that done this weekend and then start on the wireing.
