Default 2nd to 3rd shift noise

Whats up ya'all? I have an automatic 04 Z with 18000 miles on it. Whenever I shift from 2nd gear to 3rd gear in manual shift there is a loud *thud* noise. Anyone ever have this happen?

Same with my 06 touring. I took mine to the dealer and they blamed it on my engine damper.
Those dumb asses took my damper out and said it was fixed.
That's the dumbest thing ever.
I have an appointment with another dealer , hopefully they can pinpoint the cause of the problem.
