Default NISMO R-tune 350Z Power Steering oil cooler

Does anyone know if this power steering cooler is effective?

350Z Genuine NISMO (Nissan Motorsports International) part.

Prevents cavitation under extreme conditions
Replaces standard power steering cooler

Also, what is cavitiation exactly? Is when the power steering fluid gets too hot?

not trying to be rude but if you need to ask those questions then you don't really need it.

this is mostly for hardcore racers

you won't notice any differeance on the streets.

Thanks for the info! It was tempting because I was in the mood to buy someting. Glad it did not do it now.

I already have the Nismo sway bars, and I already painted my intake plenum red with high heat paint. Maybe I'll just settle for a reasonably priced shifting ****.

Unless you think that the Crawford Plenum is really worth it. I laready have Injen CAI and exhaust. Will adding the plenum lean me out any?

it will lean it out some but not to any dangerous level.

you can get some high flow cats too like the crawford or random units.

I have the Crawford high flow cats. I took them off after about 500 miles because they made my car a little bit too loud for my tastes (on top of Injen CAI and exhaust). Also, the driver side cat had a really tight fit underneath the car, so there would sometimes be an annoying rattle that really annoyed me. I have the Nismo headers installed as well, and maybe this is why the cats would not fit perfectly. However, I did notice a nice boost in throttle response and although this mod did not create a lot of HP, I definitely felt that the car was faster and could breath better. So basically I loved the performance but thought that the noise level from the exhaust was a bit ricey. If anyone wants mine, they can have them as they are just taking up space that I don't have in my garage.

For some unknown reason, I ordered the Esprit power intake spacers about a month ago. I'm going to try this out and get a dyno and then compare it to the Crawford plenum.

Cavitation is like bubbles forming in the fluid. To prevent oil cavitation in engines, some are designed with dry sumps. I run this fluid cooler on the street for the purpose of peace of mind during the many spirited mountain jaunts my vehicle encounters. Can't really say it does anything, but my steering is always spot on crisp.

When will you receive the Esprit spacer?

Please give us a detailed review after the installation

Thanks

That price compares with the Oil cooler and this is the power steering oil cooler, no?
