Default Power steering pump!

Ok, so one day after doing a few donuts in a deserted parking lot, my power steering decided to go weak on me. I was curious if anyone else has ever had a similar experience?!

I asked the dealer and they quoted me $800 for a new pump, but I have done a PS pump before, and most of the time they aren't too difficult. Has anyone else swapped a pump? If so, is it as straight forward as any PS pump?

Check the fluid level, belts before anything. The PS pump will leak before it breaks usually. PS pumps are cheap adn the install is is easy from what I can see underneath the car. If you can change a belt, you can change a PS pump.

Yeah I thought the same thing, I was up to par on the fluid levels, and there doesn't seem to be leakage but still no power steering. Oh well, I was thinking the same, it looks easy enough. Thanks!
