Can I remove the engine and trans together? I have the whole front end removed mines the fenders, drive shaft and other brackets as well. Can you all give me some tips on removing the shifter and anything else i need to remove from the trans like the clutch master cylinder lines ex....?

the shifter is very easy.
once you remove the trim piece from the center console, you will remove the 4 bolts that hold down the noise isolation boot. after taking those bolts out, lift up the boot and you find 3 more bolts......take those out. that all for inside the cabin area.........oh yeah, I assumed that you took the shift **** off prior to starting the shifter removal.
next, you need to move underneath the car. if I remember correctly, there is just one bolt to remove. it is where the shifter attaches to the shift rod assembly.
now....go back in the cabin and pull the shifter straigh up and out of the car. make sure not to lose the reverse lockout spring!
