for an 03 a 2003-2005 vq35de will work.

over 2 grand is pretty expensive for a used motor. Keep looking, you can find them for around a grand but they probably need rebuilt. Not that the 2400$ motor doesnt need rebuilt either.

ya i can rebuild mine but buying a new is faster. i spun bearing 1 and scratched crank and rod so it seems like a lot of work and more money to fix it

hmm, ya, you can buy a shortblock for cheap. they were going around 500$ here.

the only problem with buying a new motor is chancing how long it will last. if it only lasts a year or 2 was it worth wasting the money or should you have just rebuilt it brand new?

i'm not sure. i think it might be similar but stuff will have to be changed on it.

the hardlines, pulleys, and accessories might not be the same. They look different on that motor. I guess you could just use the shortblock out of it but 700$ for a motor with 22k miles on it and you'll have to swap stuff on it? not so sure if i would take that chance
