Default Shifter Linkage

Seeking advice on a problem. My 2007 MT has 28k miles, I was on reverse getting out of the garage and I popped it out to get into 1st gear. When I did, the shifter just went wobbly and there's no engagement into gears anymore. The shifter can now be moved in all sorts of directions and even a 360. I'm assuming the linkage is toast.

I had to get to work so I pushed her back in the garage and plan on getting her towed 1st thing tomorrow morning. I have a several questions and need your opinions...

1. Is it really the linkage? can it be something else like the entire tranny?
2. If it is the linkage, how many hours of labor should I expect?
3. Any suggestions on an aftermarket part (if there is any, I searched briefly and came up with nada. Will search more)
4. I'm assuming this IS going to be covered under warranty since its part of the drivetrain, am I right on this?

Thanks a bunch. I appreciate everyone's input

Thats weird but its def the shift linkage it sounds like a boltt got sheered off and the end of the link popped off. It's gonna be a pita (labor) to get to it. Theres no after market support that I know of but warrantee will take care of it dont worry about it
