That's strange that they have gone thru 3 or 4? How are they failing?
No idea, same thing happens as the OP's situation. 2 of the cars are bone stock, the other 2 have an aftermarket exhaust. One has gone through 4 of them in about 2 years, two of them had 2, and one had 1 slave plus a new transmission just since purchasing the car in August at a Nissan dealer. That is all the HR owners I know. I don't personally know anyone who's gotten lucky with a 100% reliable one yet, but everything was always covered by warranty. Other than those trans issues, cars are fine though.

If you take a look at some of the threads about it, a few members on here have gone through more than one also. Reason I know all this is because I was about to trade in my 03 for an 07-08 over the summer, so I did a lot of research. Needless to say, it scared me away and I've used that money to mod my current one instead. It really is a shame, the HR motor is fantastic.

so i got my car back and had to go to do something. Well the clutch pedal didnt feel as stiff as it was before , It felt lighter. K well after i get done with what i had to do. I started to drive home and the pedal starting feeling like normal again then at some points it didn't feel like it normally did. Im going to drive it later tonight see if it keeps on acting up. What do you guys think?

if its getting lighter it sounds like its at a loss for pressure which sounds like the slave cylinder failure to me.

I feel its bad to feel the peddle get lighter but later stiffer.... I wish nissan took a more aggressive approach to this obvious problem. recall or not a salve cylinder should be failing anytime sub 100k on any vehicle, unless abuse is proven.

hmm they just replace the csv. Do you think they didn't want to replace the slave cylinder to? I was thinking the clutch pedal was acting different cause of the new censor?

You mean CSC? The CSC is the slave cylinder. If it feels weird or is acting inconsistent there are only a few things it could be, the master cylinder, the csc, or the clutch/pressure plate.

Sounds like there is air in the system or the pedal adjustment is incorrect.
