Ya, that's the slave cylinder...not a clutch problem. I have 35k miles on my clutch and it's still good. And I believe there was a recall on the slave cylinder so you should be good, just take it in to the dealer.

There is a recall on it and it should be covered under warranty.

Take it to another dealer then, because there IS a recall on it. Meaning they have to replace it

There is not leak. from what i can see. On the recall they say our vin # fall in place for the recall but the month the recall was in doesnt, which i think is a bunch of b.ll.h.t.

Whether or not it is under the list of VINs for the recall should be irrelevant. The bottom line is, from what we can tell, the slave cylinder went bad on a car that is still under warranty.

If it falls in the VIN it has a recall on it.

exactly...recall or not an issue like this with such little mileage should be covered under warranty and thus should be repaired at no cost.

Big threads on it:

Poor design by Nissan. Friends of mine that are HR owners have gone through 3-4 of these things already. Only perminant fix is the 03-06 style retrofit by ATS (maybe more brands by now?), and its big $$ as I recall. Not your fault, and should be covered under warranty no matter what.

I have not seen any of the recalled ones go bad after replacment. Also have not seen any go bad on the 08's yet.

That's strange that they have gone thru 3 or 4? How are they failing?
