Default Problem with car

So I just got my car back from nissan yest after a week and a half and I noticed that when I turn the car on the rpm's go to 2000 and then drop gradually. But if the car is warmed up a bit when I turn the car back on the rpm's go up to 1000 and drop to like 400 and the car sounds as if it going to turn off. What can that be?
