Mine doesn't like going into first after i back out of the garage, then second is kinda tricky to get in. But i take it slow and it drives normally after 5 minutes.

The interior on mine rattles soooo much more when its cold. And of course the shocks for the hatch dont work either. But Ill deal with all of that for the extra HP

I wish it was 32 degrees here. For the past few days it's been in the negatives, with highs in the low teens. There is still a lot of Ice and snow on the ground here, and we're forecasted to get a lot more tonight. My car gets slightly sluggish when I try to start, but it has no trouble cranking. Gear shifting is also sluggish, but not overly so (I don't let it go past 2.5k before I shift). My main problem is my radio will not play my CD's unless the car has been running for at least 45 min.

Mine does the same thing. Luckily over the years it's gotten better, and now unless it's in the teens, and been sitting overnight, it will work fine. I found that cycling through all 6 disks a couple times while you are warming up the car will warm things up enough to get it working again.

Just curious when you some of you guys say you warm the car up for 10 or 15 minutes, do you start it and go back in the house or actually sit in the car for that long? I only ask because I'm in nj and yea it gets cold, but I only let it warm up for maybe a song length lol. The auto like to stay in 4th sometimes, usually when its below 25 I wanna say. I know our cars may see higher revs more than the regular sedan, but remember there have been people hopping in their cars, starting them and leaving in under 20 seconds for years in the cold and the engines hold up on most. My mother comes to mind, it can be 10 degrees out and she will hop in the car and leave for work.

The car will die when trying to start, but Im assuming this is because the MAF sensor needs cleaning after getting the car out of the body shop. And found the Intake tube to be loose.

Let me tell you guys something about having a Nismo thermostat and an all aluminum radiator trying to get the heater to warm up the car. I drive 30 miles from work. The heater does not come off 90 until the last 10 miles. Then I can turn it down to 80.

I'm genuinely convince that the 350Z is a bit of a "temperamental" type of car. I mean, in the summer when is really hot and i'm on stop & go traffic the clutch sinks to the ground because of boiling tempatures withing the clutch line.

And then in the cold she needs to be warmed up and brought to operational tempatures or else she will grind like a BOtch.

Man, the Z is worse than a female! At least with the female I get laid!

I leave my heat at 75 and usually get heat within 2 miles, then again its only around 35 degrees when i leave work.

Try leaving the heat turned off (or low) until the engine is properly warmed, then crank the heat up. If you set the cabin air to be warm, it will transfer heat in the heater core by means of the engine coolant. If the coolant is not transferring as much heat it can reach operating temperatures quicker.

I am just glad to get it heated up finally. I have a 160 degree T-stat in my Toyota with a big aluminum radiator. As you drive down the road I can watch the temp go down, down, down. HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

Instead of letting yur car idle for 10-15 and build up carbon..... warm it up for a minute or two then start from second every time you stop until the tranny fluid is warm. works great for me in my 08
