Is the oil consumption/burning issue on the 03-04 Z just something that forces you to check it and top it off annoyance or is it actually hurting the engine?

Is there a fix to it? Once Nissan replaces the engine, or is it something that is just going to keep happening?

In Honda s2000 (ap1) the F20c consumed oil but it did not hurt the engine at all, all it meant was that you needed to check more often to make sure you didnt get too low, is this the case with the early Z's?

i thought only the 2006 rev-up (and the 2005 anniversary rev-up)engine had consumption issues?

The 'known' issue is with 05-06 revups. That doesn't mean you don't have a problem though.
