Question 350EVO vs Stillen short shifter?

im looking to buy a short shifter and i was wondering which one has a better feel. Like rattling, smoothness, and how crisp are the shifts. I really wanted to get the 350EVO but im not sure if they still sell anymore.

Check this thread out.

I've had the Nismo shifter on about 5 months now, smooth and flawless operation, just like the OEM shifter, only I adjusted it down to 40% below stock. No noise either, and install was a breeze.

My B&M rattles at around 4k rpms or so. But the shorter shifts feel great.

i know the shifter is short to begin with, but i was thinking of a simple mod right now since i dont have that much money cuz of school for bigger mods. I'd liked to get exhaust, intakes, headers, HFC, but right now that wont be possible. But yea i guess ill just get the Nismo GT shift ****, but i was just wondering if they even still sell the 350EVO cuz ive search the forums and i've heard really good reviews and im hopefully gonna convert this DD to a track car.

Stillen is nearly $200 - I have it, very nice unit, but not adjustable (if that's your thing). I absolutely love it, and would never go back to stock.

350evo is no longer in business AFAIK

we have the stillen one in stock if you don't feel like waiting a week to get it from CA (we're in NY, takes a day or so to reach most spots in PA)

pm us for details

So the stillen or the nismo short shifters work good? What i mean is i use to have the B&M short shifter but i wasnt just able to take the stick all the way to the right and put it into 5th or 6th... anyone knows what im talking about? It was hard and i had to find the right distance to put it into those gears... So i took it off and back to stock.... I was wondering if its different with either the stillen or the nismo...

There is a small plate that needs to be lined up perfectly, otherwise the shifters will have a hard time going to the right. Can happen with a stock shifter too. I've used both the NISMO and Stillen extensively, and have not had any issues of any kind with either one

Adam you have in the scene for a little bit to say least ... What is your opinion? stillen or nismo? or something completely different? I just dont want to have the same problem like i did with the B&M...

Did you do the file thing when you installed the B&M?

I would not hesitate to use either the stillen or the nismo - they both work great

stillen does have a shorter throw, but it's fixed, not adjustable like the NISMO

Yeah I did file and it was so hard putting it in 5th and 6th gears which is why i was wondering if it was with every short shifter or only the B&M?
