Default quick questions -UR crank pulley install

Hey fellas

I decided to give this a try today, but I didnt get to finish. I followed up on 2 threads on here on how to install it..

The usual.. 6th gear, step on the breaks and a breaker bar..

Unfortunately Iam not having any luck with it. When I tried that method the crank pulley moves thus not letting me loosen the bolt.

Any ideas how to get this thing off?

when loosening the bolt, do you go counter clock wise like the rest? or is it clock wise ( I didnt put too much force in it so I didnt ruin anything but wanted to double check )

Thanks!

ur pulley and vortech = not a good combo!!!

you could always try the breaker bar on the ground and use the starter to break the bolt loose.

cheater bar as well?

basically you jack the car up, put a breaker bar/socket on the bolt. Lower the car a bit and use the starter to turn the motor. The bar needs to engage the ground and point towards the drivers side iirc. You click a few times and it should break the bolt loose.

Is the pulley stock and never changed?

The pulley is stock.. Never changed it. I did spray some WD40. I read somewhere that I should put the key to ON position? and not actually start the car... by click you mean.. starting it and then backing down again for just a sec?

Thanks for the help!!

Well good luck to you!
On my friends 240sx, it was a PAIN!, couldnt get it off with that method, BUT

Removing Radiator + Impact Wrench rated 550torque = Off in seconds literally.
