Default Vibration in clutch.

Hey Guys,

I just picked up a 07 350z base edition. It's a 6 speed.

My issue is when I barely push the clutch in, I can feel serious vibration. When I continue to push the clutch in, I can feel more friction. Almost feels like its scraping something as i push the clutch in. I can physically feel it in the clutch..

I'm thinking its a throughout bearing but want your feedback.
I just picked up this car and don't want to overlook anything that could potentially be serious. It's really driving me nuts and makes driving the car not fun as its super distracting..

Thanks!

Assume that the car is un under warranty. Take it to Nissan and get it fixed.

well i got it from a wholesale lot dealer, but it has 31.5k miles on it.
Is that covered under the 3 year 36k mile warranty?

The clutch is part of the drive train yes, but it is a wear item. Very difficult to get warranty work from Nissan.

So even though its covered under the warranty, they still might not cover it? I only ask because my clutch seems to be doing the same thing..

Just talk to the dealer, if they're willing, they'll do it for you.

Normally, the performance oriented dealerships are more relaxed and easier to work with.

Try to avoid the dealers that dislike modifications.

I called the dealer and scheduled an appointment, but the technician on the phone indicated that most likely it wont be covered by warranty.

What should I do?

Half the time, when I shift, I can feel a friction/heavy vibration from the clutch. Other times it shifts fine. Even sometimes ill have it in neutral at idle and I can feel something through the pedal that can only be explained like the transmission is clipping against something...

If they dont cover this, ill be pissed and seriously disappointed in the Z..

How long ago did you buy the car? You didn't notice it driving off the lot? Is the problem only at your foot? Is it shifting ok? Disengaging properly? Aside from the vibration? Did they recently replace the clutch before you bought it?

Yaknow...?

You should go back there with the car TODAY. Find out if they replaced the clutch recently. Perhaps they installed it improperly. I would raise hell. Isnt the a lemon law
