Default Question for JWT flywheel people.

SO i bought the jwt clutch / flywheel combo like everyone else. I Previously had the ACT prolite / 6puc clutch combo and it was just to much for a daily. SO my problem is- The new jwt flywheel is kinda snug and hard to fit on my crank? is this normal? I tried placing it on but even when at 100lbs of tq it still wont sit back and touch the starter. The paper it comes with says "May need to heat flywheel to fit on crank" anyone done this?

What do u mean by, "touch the starter"? When the car is off, the starter sits in, it doesnt touch the flywheel, however when u crank the car, then the starter pops out and turns the flywheel over.. my jwt flywheel went in just right, n i torqued it down to 72ft lbs not 100lbs..

Agreed! as long as the flywheel is sitting flush with the crank your good to go. The starter should not touch until its engaged.

JWTs specs are tighten to 90ft lbs, loosen, red loctite, and back in to 93ft lbs.

Not sure that extra 3ft lbs makes a huge difference but might as well do it the way they tell you too.
