Default sleeve dropped, cheaper to repair or by Sharif/forge bottom end????

Hi guys,

must say that my luck with the 350z has not been the best these past few years...

the title says it all, currenlty running a sleeved vq35de and getting the coolant overflow overflowing, sorta like the car takes a pee every now and then...

my question is this, can a dropped sleeved block be repaired, things like clearance and compression and all that come into the picture if one skims the block and that sounds really complicated..? is it cheaper to repair my sleeve issue ... not knowing all the ins and outs there or go and buy one of Sharif's bottom ends and be done with it?

And advice is appreciated

Is there a reason you have a sleeved block (i.e. Turbo)?

What are the plans for setup? That will determine a lot of what to do.

hi,

i have an aps twin turbo setup and can only push around 530whp at a max, the block is already sleeved so am basically looking to repair it if it is possible... does anyone know if it is possible to repair a sleeve drop, like skim the block and get a thicker head gasket to insure compression/ clearance is the same...

or is it just cheaper to buy a new bottom end? it is probably better that I get a built one, dont think its safe to run 500whp with a bottom end that is not built...

Are you saying that you had your block sleeved, but you still have your stock internals (pistons/rods)?
