Default Dyno'ed w/ only Nismo Exaust today.

Im sure everyone else is going to post their info. Suprizingly I havent seen anyone else's and it took me about an hour and a half to get home...

This was my first dyno run on this car and all I have is the Nismo Exaust.

Keep in mind from the day I got this car I drove the sh*t out of it. And I have 17XXX miles on it.

Max HP - 244.7
Max TQ - 234.1

I was shocked to see the gains just from the exaust.

I dont have a baseline I put this on my car soon after I got it.

There was someone there with a stock Z and I THINK it pulled a 236?

See my signature for STOCK numbers...

I want to go Dyno again before I put it away for the winter to see what the intake and exhaust did...

Your dyno numbers seem awfuly high for stock...

The dyno we tested on was consitant with 2 other runs of the Performance Nissan Z...

Konverter: How can you say that you got any gain from your exhaust if you don't know what your HP was before you got it?

I don't mean to flame you but there seems to be a wide range of stock dyno numbers on the Z. I've seen as low as 232 and as high as 251 RWHP. You can't really use any of those to compare your dyno with.

Default So Cal Dyno Results are up and posted

Posted in the So. Cal section of this forum.. Check out...

The numbers we got are very believable and consistant with conventional
wisdom,
10 Zs not just 1 or 2 with different mods.

If anyone has higher #s I say ** it's got to be in the dynos accurancy....

If we take Daytona 350 Z a stock no mod base line of 237 and we know almost any good exhaust gets 7 hp whats so hard to believe. Numbers bear it out I was there and so were 10 other guys

Now Zxsaint has an exceptional Z 257.1 with Ur pulleys more then some of the others. I doubt that pulleys along could pull 13 hp. He diffinately got the pick of the litter.

I dynoed my car with CAI, Borla TD exhaust and grounding kit and got 227 WHP and 217 WTQ Now that's a freaking low number

Comparing dyno numbers from different dynos, is pointless and misleading. Its all about the DYNO+Software...
Dynapack,DTS,Dynojet running Windows,Dynojet running DOS,Clayton, and Super Flow, will give out different numbers..

Yes'all dynos will read differently. That's why we agreed to test 10 different mod selections, all on the same dyno, on the same day and conditions. Makes for a more creditable all around test and vilify's what we know to be as conventional wisdom.

Besides it's more fun that way.

"Correctamundo!" (In best Jules voice from Pulp Fiction)

Not to flame you Konverter because your a cool cat, but Bonz is right. I didnt dyno before my Borla TD so unfortunately I cant claim HP either. But hey at least we got that killer sound right ?
Right?!!!!

BEfore any future mods I will get a base dyno!

This was my baseline...

Baseline with exaust...

And from other Z stock on this dyno and comparing to other with mods on the same dyno like Test Pipes / Exaust / Pop Charger / Plenum / My numbers were just 10-15 HP behind...

On Dyno's that were actually putting out realistic numbers... high 230's was stock baseline...

When I put my other mods on Ill dyno at the same place and this run will be my bassline and then you will see
