i picked up an extra motor but i need some help
i picked up an extra vq35 but im not sure what year it is anyone know how to read the serial number its 055036B VQ35

You bought a motor without knowing anything about it. You might not even be able to use it

2 throttle bodies = HR motor, one Throttle body = DE Any were from rev up to the 03 regular De motor. hopes this helps.

there is no difference in engines between Gs and Zs... serial # is just the order it was made
