I just checked on their site now.

http://www.hopupracing.com/grtd18gtwtuk.html

And if you calculate the price of this kit vs. % off retail. If you purchase the the full kit at retail for $8200, you will get this kit at $6560.

At this price, me or other MY350Z vendor will also be happy to support you. Which means matching the price.

Hi!

I think the comment about "price fixing" should be translated to mean monopoly pricing. Price fixing is illegal where two or more sellers engage in a pre-agreed upon sales price regardless of market conditions.

However, I can say that the PE Turbo kit for the 350Z will NOT be sold at monopoly prices, as there are multiple authorized US distributors for Power Enterprise. We will be offering the PE T/T kit for the 350Z as soon as it is available.

Also we are promised 2 Greddy 350Z turbo kits on the first batch.

Thanks,

Gary

Correction, there were five PE kits, of which BBBT had gotten one from RBMotoring. Two other ones were shipped back east, and Intense was able to score one. They sold the kit to guy in Colorado Springs. I only wish the guy in Colorado Springs would post on this board so he can confirm his purchase. Anyway, when Intense gets the kit in I am going to go down there and take pics of it just so we can once and for all put to rest that Intense is a reputable company.

I don't want get into this discussion about Intense. But are you sure about the shipping east part? Where did you hear this from? I spoke to Hideo from PE at SEMA. And one kit was their display kit, the other kit belonged to Cheston. That means Intense is selling Cheston's kit. Very interesting.

i can confirm that there were supposed to be 5 kits (I'm not even 100% sure that theres actually 5) 1 for me (through RBMotoring), 1 for Cheston (Techno Square), 1 supposed to be for Evolution, 1 going to the East Coast (I dunno who) and 1 Kit at the display case in SEMA.

gosh why do people post on page 4 and dont even bother read what was on page 2! let me quote myself again on what I said on page 2...

The 1st time I saw my car was the 1st day of SEMA, Borla took it the weekend before the show started. I just got back from there so this is the 1st time this matter has come to my attention. I knew it would pop up here at the forums as soon as I saw that sign - knowing how everybody here keeps everyone updated regarding whats new.

I dunno where Borla got their numbers.... some guy from the marketing department made that sign and believe me, I wanted to take it down as soon as I saw it. But they wont lt me coz it attracted attention. Its funny how then didnt even label it as a PE kit. The sign almost makes a clueless person think that I fabricated my own Turbo!

oh well its coming from me... that car is NOT i repeat NOT pushing 500 to the crank or to the wheels. I'd be lucky to reach 300rwhp at its current form. More work needs to be done after SEMA but we dont plan to do any mad boost.

My sincerest appologies to those who was mislead by that stupid sign this extends to PE. I've gotten the respect and praise from of a number of members here at the forum by telling the truth. I'm not about to start lying now.

Thanks for the explanation Chebosto and SKiDaZZLe. My hands are tied. as long as that car is at SEMA it technically Borla's car and I cant remove that stupid sign. The dyno queen awards still belongs to SKiDaZZLe and Chebosto repectively. Now thats something coming directly FROM me.
On added note: They couldnt contact me when they were making that sign and they probably saw 400RWHP for the PE Kit somewhere on the Internet. The Marketing guy thought the Drive Train loss was 20% and before we know I'm driving a 500HP 350 Z thats not even tuned.

hehe.. see you after SEMA ?
and now to quote Mr PE Prototype himself... Since were on the Topic. So, 500 crank HP is not Impossible and we all know we have the resources to pull it off. But will we do it is another question? I will be happy to enough to know that I have a Z thats a bit faster than the factory Z to discourage the all show no go comments from Immature people.

Although that Z at SEMA didnt have 500HP its not impossible to make it so.

I might be wrong on the two going back east so pardon me on that.

However, if Intense is selling Cheston's kit, that's all on PE. I for one also think that Cheston should get a kit for free, but hey we live in a capitalist society.

well... me personally. i dont care what hp i get. i just want it. haha.. we'll see... patience.. if i can wait 5 months for two stupid rims. i can wait a little longer for my tt kit...

im interested in seeing how the Greddy kit spools up.. how fast they can get full boost..... im surprised Greddy's intercooler went from the bottom of the end tanks and routed back up at weird angles..

did anyone take picts of the piping at the SEMA show?

Okay, to make things right, this is where we sold the kits to (in this order): BBBT, Intense Motorsports, and CarVersion 2 a place out in Delaware. To my knowledge, there are no more available kits at this time or at least until the next shipment arrives from Power's Japan. I hope this clears all "rumors" as to where the kits went to. We were told that 5 were available. However....with agreement with BBBT, I don't think there were 5. I think there were only the 3 we had and moved.

They are not an authorized dealer. Check on Greddy's website.
And I don't know how they will warranty your product. You are not buying a wheel here or a body kit. You are taking your hard earned money and buying a performance turbo kit. THAT NO ONE have used yet. And if you plan on spending this money, think about if your turbo blade go bad, who will you go to for warranty? If your e-manage go bad, who will your send it back to? If your turbo kit don't fit. Who will your tuner turn to for help? If you need tech. help. Do you think the guy sit behind a computer will help you? Or a guy that sit behind a phone with a shop behind them. That can put you on the phone with their mechanics?

It's just my point of view, I'm not saying you should buy it from one vendor over another, I'm expressing my views. It's your money, your choice. But think long run. I know personally, if you buy this kit from me. I'll be glad to help you thru everything I can. Because you have earned my business.

Hope I didn't start a flame. I have been in the business for 5 years now. And I have seen a lot. It's just my point of view. And if Hop up prove me wrong, then they are doing more than just making money here. They are getting their respect.

thx

Hi,

Greddy does know about us and you can call them if you would like. We are not an authorized Greddy Dealer, but we do sell their products and the warranties do carry over to the customer. Also, we can sell them for whatever price we want. We buy from an authorized distributor and if anyone has any concerns about warranty issues, please call me personally to discuss. I can gaurantee the warranty on this product is the same from us as from any other vendor. I hope i am not starting a flame...just laying down the facts. 858-509-0179
