Default Greddy TT at SEMA

Greddy had a TT unit installed on a G35, and the kit for the Z was in a glass case, priced at $6495. They said the kits would start shipping December, even though the posted sign said 11/25. They said it was approximately 350 HP at the rear wheels.

The Vortech SC looked beautiful, and a one-off TT kit at the Borla booth boasted 500 HP.

You are correct, sir!! It was the Z with the scissor doors and they claimed 500HP! The installation looked clean.

did the G kit have an intercooler installed? I wonder if Z kit is the same as the G's.

I expected Greddy's final price to be at least a grand more.
This will sell down in the supercharger price range, $6495 for a complete TT kit seems like a pretty badass deal to me (especially if that's with intercooler)! I'm sure the street price will be considerably less (10%).

Basically, for around 20k in mods (tt kit, motor build, all necessary hardware, suspension, etc.) you will be running supercar numbers possibly.

if i am not mistaken also the pe TT kit out of the box runs only 4psi of boost so i doubt its even putting out 350rwhp. chestons kit from what i understand is going to be one of a kind. 8k is a whole lot of money for only 4psi and then you have to buy a boost controller and the ecu upgrade to run there claimed 400ps/396rwhp. not to mention there is only one main pe distributor who will price fix. sorry ches, truth be told i hope you get your kit but they lost my business when they didn't take care of you. if they can't even treat there R&D man with respect think about how they are going to treat you.

I don't think there aiming for that. external wastegates usually mean that its not going to be.

don't see how its possible when most external wastegates dump into the atmosphere, unless they added funky piping back into the exhaust system before the cats

Not to be smart but did Greddy finally fix the rumored idling issue? Was that just BS about them blowing up motors?

One part of me is a little scared of the product after so many delays, another parts says I got to respect them for not releasing it until they worked out the bugs in it. I just dont know which one is more accurate.

greddy never blew up a motor and the idle issue was only a rumor. lets think about this both road and track and turbo magazine did an article on this kit during the summer and not one of them mention anything about an idle problem. as for blowing engine only top secret blew one up in the name of R&D and you have to respect them considering there turbo kit put down 450rwhp and is still holding up.

You could even do your own IC and piping/tanks for about $750, if you're that DIY.
