Is CARB approval so hard 'cause Z is an LEV?
I was wondering if CARB approval on all of our favorite FI and NA upgrades was so difficult because the Z is in the LEV class and thus has little room to move more junk out the tailpipe than other cars which are classified as "dirtier" from the start?
I know CARB approval is crazy, and overly bureaucratic, but I'd like to know what goes into this approval process, and why it seems that many SCs are available for other cars (especially American) and they are 50 state legal.
Another side to look at is Jackson Racing's SC for the Civic - - it is 50 state legal too -- hmm... how does that work.
Thanks all.
